I started playing around with nitro r/c cars back when I was 10 years old after I saw them at a Monster Jam event in Pittsburgh.  I bugged my dad so much about getting one that we made a system:  good grades equaled points and once I had enough he would buy me my first truck (a nitro stampede), soon after we discovered r/c off-road racing.  I got my first real race truck (a Losi nxt) and the rest is history.
