I've been racing since sometime in 1986. My first car was an Associated RC10. I worked with my Dad and Grandfather and saved for months and months to buy that car. It was really tough too because my friends all ran out and spent their money on cheaper Grasshoppers and Hornets, but I waited and saved until I could buy the RC10. As soon as we got home from R/C Hobby, Dad and I started to assemble it right on the kitchen table (Mom was thrilled...).  After a couple nights of work, I FINALLY took it outside and drove it for the first time.  I have been hooked ever since!

I raced on a regional level until about 1991 when I caught the Drag Racing bug. I shelved the R/C cars for about 8 years and raced competitively in the Super Pro, Comp and Quick 16 category at tracks like Dragway 42, Norwalk and Quaker City.

After deciding to stop drag racing, I naturally got back into R/C racing. I raced Gas Truck for a couple years before getting my first 1/8 scale nitro buggy (A Mugen Super Athlete). I again raced mostly on the regional level and placed quite well at some of the larger races from 1999-2008. I returned to my 1/10 scale electric roots in 2007 and bought my current car a Kyosho RB5. With the brushless motors and Lipo batteries of today, electric has a much larger appeal to me than when I switched to gas racing in 1999. Back then if you couldn't buy the latest motor or most importantly the best batteries you might as well not show up. These days the technology has once again leveled the playing field so the better DRIVER shines through!

When I am not at the track I enjoy spending time with my wife, Tina and our two dogs, Katy and Draco. Oh, and I've been known to snap a photo or two from time to time! You've probably seen some of my handy work on the other drivers' pages.

My ride:
Kyosho RB5 (updated to SP specs)
Futaba 3Pk radio with a Spektrum Pro system
Airtronics 94357 servo
Tekin RS speed control
Novak 10.5 and 8.5 motors
And of course B-FAST R/C diff rings and balls!
