I got my first RC car when I was 12. It was a Tamiya Fox.  A fellow that owned a hobby shop took me to my first race track, and I was hooked.  My parents bought me a RC 10 Gold Pan; it was my first real race car.  I ran mostly carpet back then.  I hooked up with a couple of buddy’s and started racing off-road dirt.  We traveled to different race tracks.  The biggest event I ever went to was the 1992 ROAR Truck Nationals in Savannah, GA.

I got out of RC racing when I was 18.  Then in December 2006 my sister says, “I want to get my husband a
RC car so the dog can chase it around the yard.”  So I went with her to look at cars.  She bought him one and then a couple mouths later I bought one too, and it’s been down hill ever since.  I have to thank her for that because I forgot how fun this hobby really is.

When I’m not racing cars, or spending time with my wife and kids,
I like to fly RC airplanes and helicopters.
