My first hobby grade RC car was a Tamiya Grasshopper that my dad bought me when I was about 10 yrs old. He used to fly RC Airplanes so I always had RC catalogs and magazines in the house so it was inevitable that I'd be involved in RC in one way or another. A few years later I received a Losi JRxT for Christmas and I soon began racing at Hobby Mania in Columbiana, OH. Hobby Mania moved to Poland and opened an indoor carpet oval track where I followed suit and began racing my JRxT on carpet. I raced for about 3 years with only one summer of racing on dirt, then I turned 16 and racing was history.
For some reason I got the bug again about three years ago and I found a XXXT on Ebay and it started to snowball from there. I never once considered my left-turn only roots and have focused on off-road 1/10th scale almost exclusively. Since then I've raced almost every weekend and have attended almost every electric regional big event in the tri-state area. One of the best things about this hobby is helping beginners progress in the right direction. I receive a lot of emails from racers I know and people I've never met asking for advice and I always try to help them out the best I can. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask.
